The rules of luge are very simple, but luging, in itself, is quite complex. Essentially, lugers have to travel through a steep and inclined ice-track, and record the fastest finish time. Since lugers travel at speeds more than 120 km/h, their finish time is calculated to the thousandth of a second, making it one of the most precisely-timed sports in the world.
