The Los Angeles Dodgers became the first team to clinch a playoff spot in 2020 after beating the San Diego Padres, 7-5, despite yet another Padres ninth-inning rally. A three-run fifth inning put the Dodgers up 6-1. Mookie Betts swiped three bases, becoming the first Dodger to do so in a game since 2016.
